Monique likes to wear read, and revealing, outfits.
Another of the ancillae that resided in New Avalon prior to it's inception as a Camarilla Domain, Monique mostly kept to herself and focused on the whorehouse that she maintained on the edge of the main settlement. She supported Michelle Rauchete when the Ventrue elder took New Avalon from Hector and named it as a Camarilla Domain, and she was granted her own personal Domain surrounding her whorehouse as reward for her help, as well as being named as Sheriff. There was some discord raised over the issue as Willum was interested in the territory for his own interests, but he did not oppose the situation when it was given to Monique. Eventually, as law found it's way into New Avalon and whorehouses were no longer legal to run, she turned it into a cheap motel as a front and kept business going, and it remained as successful as it was when it was openly selling time with women.
Monique and Michelle remained close allies over the years, but eventually, Michelle disappeared without any trace or reason. Monique remained Sheriff to Prince Natalia in this time and, when Michelle returned to the city, she gave Monique her blessing to support Natalia as the Prince of the city and the Brujah continued in her post as Sheriff. This was not to last, though. Monique was stripped of both her post as Sheriff and of the Domain she held since it was granted to her as a result of a public revelation of her diablerie of various Sabbat Kindred in the course of her duties. She was nearly destroyed for her offense, but Natalia recognized the perilous chance of causing a clan war as a result of behind-the-scenes battling between Michelle and Willum that the issue seemed centered around; details of which are still hazy at best to those not connected to the situation. Leaving Monique alive was a concession to calm Michelle, while giving Monique's Domain to Willum was a concession to him. Monique was also forced to submit to being Bound to Natalia and is threatened with immediate final death if she is ever to be discovered commiting diablerie again. Her successor as Sheriff was the Toreador Marcus Falin, to which Monique seems to hold no ill will.
Monique always dresses elegantly, and always incorporates red into her outfits. She still remains a supporter and ally of Michelle, though does not widely acknowledge so or publically speak on the matter. Despite her remaining quiet to this fact, it is no secret. She has done a decent job of rebuilding since losing her territory and business to Willum and she has now started a new prostitution ring in Chinatown. Recently, though, her business has been mysteriously declining as her various business interests and 'employees' go missing. Lately it seems as if she is battling nightly just to stay on her feet, rather than profiting and remaining influential as she once was in her old Domain.
